Pending
Pending marks rare-sat activity still in the mempool: sales, transfers and extractions in transactions not yet mined, shown first and counted nowhere.
What pending means
The index watches the mempool, the transactions waiting to be mined, every five seconds and right after each block. A waiting transaction that moves tracked sats is read exactly as a block would read it, as if mined in the next block: its sales, transfers and extractions. The site shows them wherever confirmed activity appears, with a Pending chip; hovering it tells you when the transaction was first seen and its fee rate in sat/vB.
Where it shows
- Sales lists and collections: pending sales, placed in their category like any sale (including bundles), listed apart and first.
- The Transfers and Extractions feeds: pending events at the top.
- Address, sat and UTXO pages: outputs a pending transaction spends or creates.
- Listings: a listing whose purchase is in the mempool is pending; it returns to active if the purchase drops out unconfirmed while the output is still unspent.
Never counted
Pending items count in no statistic: no supply number, median, volume, floor or leaderboard sees them until they are mined. Inscriptions revealed in the mempool do not change the inscribed counts either.
How it ends
When the transaction is mined, the confirmed sale or event replaces the pending one at once; nothing is listed twice. When it leaves the mempool otherwise (replaced by another transaction, conflicted by a block that spent one of its inputs, or evicted), its pending items disappear.
