Block 9 alpha
A block 9 sat that starts a bitcoin: 45,000,000,000 + k × 100,000,000 for k from 0 to 49, fifty sats in all.
How a sat qualifies
The row's definition is Block 9 and alpha. An alpha is a sat whose number is a multiple of 100,000,000, the first sat of a whole bitcoin. Block 9 holds sats 45,000,000,000 to 49,999,999,999, 50 BTC, so it has exactly 50 alphas: 45,000,000,000, 45,100,000,000, 45,200,000,000 and so on up to 49,900,000,000.
The first of them, 45,000,000,000, is also block 9's first sat, an uncommon, and the first sat of 450x. The first ten (up to 45,900,000,000) lie in Block 9, 1st tx.
Block 9 is a Nakamoto block and a vintage one, so each Block 9 alpha is also a Nakamoto alpha and a vintage alpha.
Why collectors care
A Block 9 alpha marks a whole-bitcoin boundary inside the block whose bitcoin went into the first transaction. Fifty exist, and that will never change.
How many
- Will ever exist: 50, all mined.
- Extracted, each held alone in a small output: 1.
- Addresses holding one: 12.
